Extensive Small Bowel Gangrene due to Meckel's DIverticulum
Acute Small Bowel Obstruction in a 30 year male, due to Meckel's diverticulum with extensive small bowel gangrene presented after 5-6 days.
MIDLINE EXPLORATORY LAPAROTOMY WITH RESECTION OF MAJOR PORTION OF SMALL BOWEL INCLUDING MECKEL'S DIVERTICULUM AND (Side to side) ANASTOMOSIS (20cm distal ileum and 15cm proximal jejunum left) DONE UNDER GA.
HE IS NOW MORE THAN 3 YEARS IN FOLLOW-UP AND DOING FINE.

Indirect Inguinal Hernia with Small bowel Obstruction-Open Surgery
This young man aged 19 years had Acute Small Bowel Obstruction with Right Inguinal Hernia.
The hernia was Irreducible and Obstructed at presentation.
On Diagnostic Laparoscopy followed by Open Exploration, there was Stricture of Herniated Bowel- Decision was taken to do a side to side Anastomosis without doing proper resection.
Patient did well and was discharged on 5th Postop. day.
